Photobucket can die a firey, drawn out, ashy death!

Anyone else have this hugely annoying problem when saving images from PB??

I look at the image on the internet and it looks like this-


then I save it to my desktop/folder/whatever and it looks like this-


both completely normal.


But then when I go to click and look at it's fantasticness, it turns into this nasty..thing!-

This is of course not me hating on people who do use PB. Definitely not grumpy at PB users. People share however they can and I'm grateful. It all just means I need to take a couple more steps to get said image. However, WHY PHOTOBUCKET D: this is just my show of frustration for this site that has gone to crap for me the past couple of years.
I mean I've gone treasure hunting through the catacombs of Google and have found awesome pages but then can't grab them because it's on photobuckeeeeeet.

Does this happen to anyone else??? *headdesk*

Hmm...I noticed I do have some weird squished preview pics in a couple folders, but when I click on them they display just fine. (Can't remember if they're from PB or not XD;) I just tried saving some random pics from PB but they save fine, too.

Do you have an example link on hand that I could try out? :Da Now I'm curious! XD

lol I did it the hard way already >_> I appreciate the reup! But I forgot to say that even when it appears fine on other's comps & they reup it elsewhere, it still opens up squished XDDD it's really weird.

That happens to me all the time, but not only with Photobucket, some files just save that way, and when I go to view them using Photoviewer (the Microsoft default program) they're all smooshed up like that. But when I open them in an editor they open just fine. What I usually do is resize it to 99%, and then save it under a new name and the new one opens fine on all programs after that. Then I just delete the original. I don't understand it, but somehow it works. XD;

I think I've tried it before with other squished pics & sometimes the editor says it can't be opened, the picture file. Then I get more grumpy.

This has also happened to me a lot. I don't remember noticing if this only happened with one site in particular, but I just tried saving that pic and the same thing happened with me.

I usually just do the paint/crop thing too but hopefully I'll remember Carol's thing the next time. It just sucks when you don't notice it right away and then when you get to it like three weeks later you don't remember what that pic was. XD
